The last released songs of Shamshad ji were for the movie Ganga Maang Rahi Balidaan in 1981 as discussed here .

We are now sharing the videos of these songs on the site's youtube channel for her fans. We hope to share more of these in coming times. The movie is set in times of Prithviraj Chauhan who is under invasion.

The three songs sung by Shamshad ji are with Mubarak Begum with one of them featuring Chetan. All of them are picturised on a "banjara" duo who are against the invader Mohammad of Ghor. Veteran Composer-Lyricist Prem Dhawan, gave nice lyrics and music suiting the situations of the movie.

Here are the three songs:-

1. Humen Mitaane Aaya Jo - Shamshad Begum and Mubarak Begum

This song shows the banjara duo performing in front of Mohammad of Ghor supposedly showing their performance but actually taunting him saying that Us Rajputs cannot be kept down by him.

2. Kar Lo Jitna Sitam - Shamshad Begum, Mubarak Begum, Chetan

This song is picturised in the situation where the army of Mohammad of Ghor in an act of suppressing the local population. The song by the banjaaras saying they'll not be deterred by this. Later, Chetan pitches in singing for the Fakeer telling the soldiers, what they're doing isn't the way of Allah.  In some ways, it can be considered a sequel to the first song.

3. Oh Sanam Tere Liye Jaage Hain Raat Raat Bhar - Shamshad Begum, Mubarak Begum

This song is picturised towards the climax as a device by the banjaras to distract the army personnel.
